Know your food. Know the facts.
India’s consumer-first platform for reporting unsafe food, understanding food-safety law, and finding exactly where to complain officially.
FoodQuality.in is an independent platform, not a government authority. Reporting here does not file an official complaint.
Live counts from reports on this platform. User-submitted reports are not independently verified unless marked Verified.

Awareness highlights
What is food safety?
Food safety means food that will not harm you when it is prepared and eaten as intended. Here is what that covers and why it matters.
Contamination vs adulteration: what is the difference?
Both make food unsafe or dishonest, but they are not the same problem, and Indian law treats them differently.
Expiry ("use by") vs "best before": what each date means
These two dates on a food label mean different things under Indian labelling rules.
Laws and official portals
Understand the Food Safety and Standards framework, and go straight to the official portals when you need to act.
Government portalsHow we label reports
Honesty about what we know and what we do not.
User-submitted
Most reports. A consumer described what happened. A moderator checked that it is complete and safe to publish, but we have not independently verified the claim.
Verified by moderators
Marked only when moderators confirmed the issue with a stated method and source, such as a laboratory report, an official order or reviewed evidence. The method is shown on the report.
Found something unsafe? Say so, with evidence.
A clear, documented report helps others avoid the same product, and helps regulators see patterns.
